Preparing For Childbirth

Everything you need to know to prepare for childbirth. Comprehensive coverage includes:

  • The final weeks of pregnancy
  • The birth process, including the different stages and phases of labor
  • Back labor
  • Labor support techniques
  • Basic breathing and relaxation for labor 
  • Supportive technologies and induction
  • Cesarean birth
  • Postpartum recovery and the adjustment to parenthood

Parents are encouraged to register in the fourth or fifth month of pregnancy, and have their classes completed by about 36 weeks. Hospital tours are free and available at all area hospitals.

Three options are available:

Fee: $105 for any option.  Tuition covers the expectant mother and one support person.
